Domi Doll of the Month – October – Tris Tiffany

October is Domi Dollz favorite month. So much debauchery in the air as people plan for Halloween and get all dressed up as their alter-egos. As winter draws near there is a sense of urgency in the air to go out and have as much fun as possible before the cold keeps us indoors. Our latest Domi Doll of the Month wrote the book on how to have fun. We present the very diverse and very talented DJ Tris Tiffany. Don’t let the “DJ” part fool you, this gorgeous gal can’t be defined so easily. She runs several companies, not only as a DJ and music producer, but also a travel consultant and fashion stylist. Too cool for school and she’s damn sexy too, read on to learn about our honorary October Doll.

Tris has an entrepreneurial spirit and is currently involved in the music, fashion, and travel industries.  She spends her days booking luxury travel via the Virtuoso network and her nights DJ’ing in some of the hottest underground venues in New York City.  While she has scaled back her fashion styling business, she can still occasionally be found shooting around the city.  She enjoys both the business aspect of being an entrepreneur while leveraging her desire to be creative.

DD: Domi Dollz loves how you are a woman of many trades. Tell us about your businesses and how you got started.

TT: My businesses include being a D.J., a fashion stylist and a travel advisor with Virtuoso. Each industry encompasses an avenue for escapism. Music, travel and fashion all reflect the human spirit’s need for fantasy, beauty, creativity and desire. They each allow our minds the opportunity to wander, forgetting our daily tribulations. I began traveling at a young age with my family and immediately fell in love with the exposure to different people, cultures, food and especially, music.  I began writing a travel blog and a friend suggested that I look into becoming a travel advisor with Virtuoso. I did some research and loved what the company stood for . . . so I started as an Independent Agent.

Thanks to my parents, I grew up with music in my home. When I was college, in Miami I became intrigued with the way the D.J. was able to create something that had a universal appeal, lifting people’s spirits and creating unity amongst strangers. I bought my first set of Technic 1200s and began learning how to become a D.J. However, after graduating from college, I focused on using my degree and put my D.J. career on hold until 2011, when I could no longer deny that this is what I was born to do. With renewed passion, I threw myself into learning every aspect of the trade and began writing lyrics and producing tracks.

DD: As a travel agent and world traveler, what is one of your favorite places you have visited?

TT: My favorite places are actually wherever I am going next!  For me, there is always a level of excitement and anticipation in planning a trip.  Some of my favorite places that I have visited in the past are Kenya, Bali, Italy, Ibiza, Las Vegas, and Burning Man (which I guess is more of an event but its on the top of the list)

DD: Care to share any sexy adventures you’ve had abroad???

TT: Well hmmm…. I was at an afterhours one morning at Winter Music Conference when my friend walked in with her best guy friend.  I had heard a lot about him – we’ll call him Mr. Charismatic, -  but we had never met.  I took one look at this tall, dark and handsome, type with lots of tattoos and my heart skipped a beat.  She introduced us, we spent the next 5 days together at WMC, then we flew back and forth for the next 6 months from New York (where he lived) and Las Vegas (where I lived) before ultimately getting engaged.  He is actually how I ended up moving back to New York City.

DD: Tell us about your musical style as a DJ and producer. What are your influences?

TT: I am a girl’s D.J. I love to spin sexy Tech-house music. My theory is, if you keep the girls happy, everyone will be happy!!!! Now that I’m spending more time in the studio producing my own tracks I am venturing more into Techno.  My current influences include UMEK, Carl Cox, Mr. Biz, Gary Beck, and Adam Beyer.

DD: Domi Dollz is planning a very special and upscale fetish party next year and we would love to have you as our DJ. Have you ever been exposed to the Kink Scene?

TT: I would love to DJ for Domi Dollz!!!!!  I have attended Nina Payne’s workshops so yes I have been exposed.  I’m pretty in touch with my sexy side so I dabble a little with kink if my mate is up for it.

DD: What do you like most about the Kink Scene? Dislikes?

TT: Well….. its sexy.  And I like sexy.  So it’s a no brainer!!!  Oh, and the clothes! I reaaallly like the clothes lol.

DD: Do you feel Kink is getting more mainstream?

TT: Yes, I do think kink it is slowly becoming more mainstream. Everyone deep down has a kinky side whether they want to admit it or not.  Sometimes you just need to go for it!  And if you’re nervous or unfamiliar then read about it, get some education, or just go to a Domi Dollz workshop!!

DD: How did you hear about Domi Dollz?

TT: I met the amazing Nina Payne through mutual friends and immediately became a huge fan, and great friends. I love that Domi Dollz teaches people, especially women, to own their sexuality.

DD: What is your most favorite Kinky outfit that you love to get dressed up in?

TT: A great curve fitting latex cat-suit and thigh high boots!!

DD: Tell us what your most ideal kinky encounter would be?

TT: Being tied up with a velvet rope, blind-folded, and teased to death.

DD: Tell us a little about your “vanilla” life?

TT: I work a lot!  I’m working on music constantly these days – either DJ’ing or producing.  Planning trips for myself and my clients, of course.  Also, I’m lucky enough to have a great group of friends here in NYC so we are constantly going out to do things or support each other’s endeavors.

DD: Where can our fans see you play next? What’s on the horizon for Tris Tiffany?

TT: I currently have a monthly residency at LaZarza Lounge, in addition to spinning at several other venues in NYC. I’ve been invited to spin at the Skin Party this month that I’m super excited about.  And I will be spinning for a private fashion event in the Meat Packing District as well!

DD: Anything else you would like to add? Any tips to our readers on how they can get started in travel or music?

TT: My advice is to follow your dreams.  You’re never too old or too young to start a new path in your life!
