At each hot venue, local Lagerfelds step up to battle in head-to-head rounds of rapid design. Cutting, tearing, tagging, draping… recycled garments and every-day objects become the raw material for brand new high fashion pieces—made in minutes! Fans witness the fitness, and a runway walk-off, to select a winner. Meantime, DJs mash up the freshest sounds, photographers vie for pics, and the backstage is brought to the crowd.

Fusing the intensity and spontaneity of a rap battle with the glamour of a fashion show, and the excitement of extreme sports, House of Diehl invented STYLE BATTLING(tm) as the newest opportunity for rising fashion designers to make their name in the competitive arena of design.
Style Battling
Style battling is a democratic approach to the elite world of high fashion. With so much talent out there and so few opportunities, we wanted to break down walls for anyone with mad skills for fast fashion and the balls to put it out there. We strive to create opportunity and audience for those who deserve it most—the creative, the uncompromising—the take-no-prisoners talent.
If you can cook a look faster than Pat Field on PCP, this is the competition for you.
In designer’s dream world, you’d have 6 months to transform a bolt of silk into the next big “little black dress”. In the real world, your deadlines, resources and budgets are tighter than Shrek in a Speedo. To make it, you have to be bold, you have to be vicious: No guts, no glory—That’s what this competition is about.
