Lately I’ve been preparing for some performances in my “art life”, which at times involves being up to my (perfectly made-up) eyebrows in sequins, hot glue sticks, and all manner of glitter, which has led to many thoughts (because I can rarely help my mind from going in this direction in ANY situation) of, yes, KINKY CRAFTING!
If Home Depot is a Domme’s secret weapon for picking up rope, chains and other necessities, one could think of craft supply stores (and, in my case, all the fabulous trimming shops in Manhattan’s Garment District) as an extension- for flair, if you like. Just think: you could tie someone up with a tape measure! Bind someone head-to-foot in yards of ribbon! Make them a sparkly crown for being Queen Bitch or Pretty Princess.. and think of those fancy, menacing fabric scissors.. and if anything, you can just put together the fiercest, most badass dress-up outfits by covering cheap lingerie with studs, rhinestones, and other shiny stuff with some industrial-strength adhesive.. or make your sub do it.
And hell, if you happen to end up with a nice handmade whip or glittery gag, you can sell ‘em on Etsy.com!
